Deaf and on the run?
Arriving in countries of asylum is particularly difficult for deaf refugees, since in Germany they are distributed according to the Königsstein key. However, deaf people only have limited offers in their language, the respective sign language. Even “barrier-free” advice or offers are not available everywhere. Therefore, it is important not to separate and isolate the deaf refugees, but to tie them together in one place. Among hearing refugees they would be on their own.
